Biography: Dr. Yudong Zhang is a Chief Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Southeast University, and a recipient of a national-level high-level talent award. He completed his postdoctoral research at a top-tier American university. He previously held permanent faculty positions at several QS/THE Top 150 universities in Europe, including full professor, chair professor, and department head. He has co-authored over 100 papers published in top-tier journals (Q1 and Q2) indexed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has served as (co-)principal investigator for numerous domestic and international academic projects, including national key R&D projects, National Institutes of Health (NIH) projects, and Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) projects. He has repeatedly served as co-chair of IEEE and ACM conferences. He has also served as a reviewer for numerous prestigious awards and honors, including those for members of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE), the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng), the Royal Society (FRS), the Marie Curie Fellowship, FIEEE, and FIET. He is also a grant reviewer for organizations such as the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI), Horizon Europe, the Swiss National Science Foundation, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) of Singapore, the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), and the Israel Science Foundation (ISF). His research interests include artificial intelligence, large language models, and X-ray and computed tomography imaging.
